Zenyasa Yoga and Wellness Studio – New York City


Jason and Frances are available for private, semi-private and small group instruction at Zenyasa Studio. They are seasoned teachers with over 30 combined years of experience in several styles of yoga, and currently offer an alignment-based practice with an equal emphasis on the development of strength, flexibility and balance. They have a strong background in musculoskeletal anatomy, injury awareness/prevention and biomechanics, and feel comfortable working with students of all ages, body types, skill levels and special conditions.

Zenyasa® Yoga: private and small group classes with Jason or Frances that include breathing exercises, mindfulness meditation, joint mobilization, standing pose sequences, upper body and core strengthening exercises, and floor postures to develop flexibilityTherapeutic Yoga:  focused sessions with Jason or Frances that address specific imbalances, pain syndromes, injuries, and special conditions

Prenatal Yoga: an individualized practice for the expecting mother with Frances, a seasoned prenatal yoga teacher and mother of two

Mat Pilates: private and small group sessions with Frances that emphasize the development of core abdominal strength (based on the work of Joseph Pilates)

Meditation: mindfulness-based sitting and walking meditation inspired by teachings and practices found within Zen and other Buddhist traditions
